24/365

My poor little man just cannot catch a break!  He's actually doing really well since his extreme illness recently.  He's done with his antibiotics, but . . . now he's losing fur.  He has bald spots forming on his head and is shedding worse than I've ever seen.  Looks like we will be making another trip to the vet very soon.  :(

And on an unrelated note - Olivia's seedlings are doing well!  I'm just afraid the Morning Glories are going to get too tall before we can plant them.  She has been putting straws and uncooked spaghetti in the soil for them to climb on. The spaghetti isn't working out so well since it softens in the soil.

 My sleeping beauty last night

 Beautiful Hydrangea

Olivia seedlings are doing well - the one in front is my Sweet Basil!

He's not one to usually get in boxes or bags.  I sat this box out to take out with the recycling.

21/365

It was a long day.  During the times I was home I spent my time rearranging furniture.  We went to Joe's grandfather's funeral today and spent a little time afterwards with his family.  His aunt and uncle have a farm:

There was a beautiful sunset while leaving - I managed to catch the tail-end of it:
And the Morning Glories that Olivia has started for me are off to a quick start.  I think they grow about an inch a day!

Olivia's seeds she planted last weekend are starting to break thru the soil.  She'll be so excited to see that on Sunday!  These are Morning Glories (my pick):

19/365 - A cell pic today

So far all of the pictures I've posted for my 365 project have been taken with my camera, but tonight's picture is from my cell.  These are the things Olivia does when her trainer's back is turned.  LOL

18/365

Well, I think today I have good news and I have bad news.  My good news is that I finally got my new business cards:
My bad news is that I think my little man is going down hill :(
He has obviously not felt well today.  He did eat a little of his dry food twice today (probably due to the appetite enhancer he's on), but I have yet to see him drink in two days.  I've gone back to dropper feeding him his wet food mixed with water.  He's not moving around a whole lot.  This morning, just before I left for work, I managed to snap a few shots of him looking out the front window of the house:

I signed Olivia up for another painting camp at Painting with a Twist.  Here is her new work of art!

16/365

Olivia and I spent some girl time together today starting with lunch at Cracker Barrel, then a stop for donuts for later, some shopping at JoAnn Fabrics and topped off by getting some gardening supplies at Menards.
If you've read previous blog posts, you'll know that she saved her strawberry seeds on Thursday.  She insisted we plant them so we got some supplies as well as a few other types of seeds:
While we were at it, I decided to replant some of the plants that were in the planter I got from Ben's funeral in November.  They are all getting so big I figured I should make some room.  I took two of the smaller ones out and put them in their own pots:

Hopefully they continue to do well.
Quincy has not been sure what he's wanted today.  He spends all day begging to go out.  So we brought him out while we played with potting soil.  He didn't do his usual though and ended up asking to go back in.  When I opened the door for him he plopped down with the front half outside and the back half inside.  I ended up propping the door for him for a while, but he just didn't seem to feel well.

Hopefully my little man isn't taking another downward turn.

Tonight I finally used the purple hair chalk in Olivia's hair that she's been dying to use.  I put it in all over and then she got her bath.  It made her happy though!

I'm a little late getting this posted!  Today I sat in the kitchen and took pictures of some of my babies.

14/365

For the first time in a week or so Quincy and I finally had some "Mommy Kitty Squishy Time".  It's when he gets into my lap while I'm on my computer and just melts into me and purrs.  I squeeze him and kiss his head and he melts and purrs some more.  He's so sweet!
This is not a great selfie, but it's one I took of he and I during his "squishy time" tonight.  Look at that content face!

Yesterday I had to bring Olivia home early from school.  She wasn't feeling well (she was fine after some rest).  When I got home from work she showed me that she had eaten some strawberries and saved some of the seeds.  It seems she plans to grow strawberry plants.  We were both surprised tonight to find they already seem to be sprouting.  The picture below is what she did with them (she checks them often):

My little man, Quincy, is doing so much better!  I can only hope that he continues to stay well once he's done with the antibiotics and appetite enhancer.  As of today he's finally eating and drinking on his own and really starting to be like himself.
He helped Olivia quite a bit with her homework tonight.

He's such a sweet soul!

Day 12/365

Tonight we had our first "Oh, mom, I have homework!" after she was already in bed.  Typically I would check her bag first thing, but we had gymnastics tonight and her notebook had said "No Homework" for today all week.  So we were up doing homework at 8:30 tonight:
In other news:  after being almost deathly ill since Saturday morning, Cat is feeling much better.  As of today he is finally eating and drinking on his own!  Not sure what to expect once he's done with his antibiotics and appetite enhancer, but we are taking it all one day at a time.
He's looking like himself again!

Editing older images

I did not take any pictures today (I've had a rough and emotional day).  I have been working on editing or re-editing older images that I've had to skip over to get sessions done.  Here are some that I've done in the last couple of days:

Day 10/365

I've already broken the rule of only sharing one picture a day per day so tonight I am going to share several.  I had much opportunity to take pictures today.  I spent a few hours at Evansville Animal Control this morning.  Here are some babies who are looking for loving homes!
